Who I am
I’m Roanna, a queer and neurodivergent woman, living in London. My own journey of faith, leadership, and identity has shaped the way I accompany others. For 15 years I planted and pastored a church — becoming the first single woman in my denomination in the UK to start and lead one. That experience gave me a deep, lived understanding of the joys and challenges of leadership, especially as a woman navigating spaces where my presence and voice weren’t always expected or welcomed.
I believe transformation comes not from striving, but from deep listening and the courage to notice what is already stirring within us.
Just as in spiritual direction where we listen for God’s presence, in coaching we listen for your values, vision, and purpose in work and leadership. Both practices are about creating spaciousness, paying attention, and discovering alignment. Where direction attends to your spiritual life, coaching attends to your professional life — but in both, my role is not to fix or prescribe, but to walk with you as you discern the way forward.
Alongside my coaching and direction work, I’m also a ceramicist. Working with clay has shaped how I think about growth, resilience, and transformation. Clay teaches us about letting go of control, patience in the process and that even what breaks can be reimagined into something new. I sometimes bring ceramics into retreats and workshops as a hands-on way for people to reflect, slow down, and explore their own stories of transformation and renewal. For me, it’s a reminder that living is about working with the cracks not pretending we are not marked by life.
“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” — Leonard Cohen
As someone who is queer and neurodivergent, I know what it is to wrestle with belonging, to find voice and freedom in unexpected ways, and to lead from the edges of systems that weren’t built for me. That awareness infuses my work: I am attentive to the dynamics of power, identity, and exclusion, and committed to creating spaces where people can show up fully as themselves.
Whether I am sitting with a directee, a supervisee, or a coaching client, my hope is the same: to offer presence, honesty, and care — so that you can move more deeply into the life, leadership, and love that is yours to live.
